Are you looking to spruce up your flower beds or garden this fall before winter arrives? It is good to know that you can plant up to 6 weeks prior to the ground being frozen. Planting 6 weeks prior to the freezing of your ground will give your plants the opportunity to become established prior to the cold temperatures and snowfall.

Depending on your area you can sometimes pant well into mid-November. You want to make sure you provide a good barrier for your newly planted material. You will want to put down mulch or some type of covering to protect the roots when the temperatures dip.
